Join us this Friday, March 4th as we welcome some of Portland’s finest breweries to The Ruck: Austin Street Brewery and Goodfire Brewing Co.!

Both of these breweries are staples in Portland, and we were able to get our hands on a bunch of both.

Austin Street Brewery “was founded in 2013 by Jake Austin and Will Fisher. The duo started out as friends and quickly realized their shared passion for craft beer and general imbibing.”

Goodfire Brewing Co. is a microbrewery specializing in hop forward ales and “the occasional High Five.”

Without further adieu, The Beer!

From Austin Street:
Anodyne - “Anodyne is an American IPA featuring a simple grain bill of 2-row malted barley and a large dose of malted wheat. Amarillo, Citra, and Simcoe hops provide loads of hop derived citrus flavors and aromas. The malted wheat gives the hops just enough of a base to stand on without being overbearing.” (cans)

Bomb Track - “Double IPA brewed with Norwegian Kveik yeast and 100% Simcoe hops using a mixture of cyro and traditional. Intense flavors of Cara Cara Orange + Stone Fruit lead to a lush and silky mouthfeel that pairs perfectly with the acidity of the yeast.” (cans)

Patina Pale - “is our flagship hop forward pale ale. We start with a blend of base malts in the mash tun, then add copious amounts of American hops in the kettle followed by even more in the form of dry hopping. The result is a very citrusy, slightly piney ale with a crisp malt background and just enough bitterness to balance it all out.” (cans)

Free Friction - Pale Ale - (draft)

Florens - “is a double dry hopped IPA loaded with Mosaic, Citra and Equanot hops. This very aromatic beer has a flavor dominated by pineapple, and grapefruit. A slightly sweet finish features just enough bitterness to balance.” (draft)

Goodfire Brewing Company

One Fine Morning - “An Extremely dry, yeast driven, unfiltered saison brewed with a blend of three classic Saison strains. Hopped in the whirlpool with Amarillo and hallertau. Yielding strong notes of pear, citrus and noble hop character.” (draft)

Yugen - “We hopped this hazy IPA with a whole bunch of Simcoe, Strata and El Dorado. The Simcoe really shines here with a massive burst of citrus, while drawing deeper, grounded tropicality from El Dorado and Strata. Pours a cloudy neon orange with notes of peach rings, spiced orange rind, tangerine + pear all twirling and swirling in the glass.” (draft)

Who is ready for some incredible beer?! We are! We’ll see you Friday with Austin Street and Goodfire! Cheers!
